the numbers represent an /10 for before, during, and after, each with their own process of consideration.

as a rule, i don’t like star ratings - they are reductive & don’t encourage actual thought about the material at hand. someone who, say, hates horror films might be asked to review a horror film, give it a 2/10, when actually it’s bloody (ha) good. that said, i like the ?/?/? approach because it represents a progression of experience. it shows expectations & experiences & reflections.
